WHAT is KAYAKING?

Kayaking is a water sport that involves paddling using a double-bladed oar and a small boat known as a kayak. The boats come in a variety of sizes and types, depending on their intended use, but most kayaks feature an enclosed deck that covers the legs.

where can i find KAYAKING IN PHI PHI?

You can rent a kayak right off the beach in Loh Dalam Bay. Just like everything on the island, prices are fixed but that does not mean you cannot take it out for longer then you rented it for. They are so itchy to get their money they do not take down any information, they just tell you to ditch it on the beach when you’re done.

our review

Kayaking in Phi Phi should be a must on everybody's to-do list. Not only is it the best way to explore the islands, but it gives you a sense of freedom and a chance to enjoy life on the water in the Thai sunshine.

Kayaking from the beach to the likes of Monkey Island (where you can interact and play with the monkeys) is a once in a lifetime experience however be warned that the beginning section of the water is a little rocky which can lead to the kayak getting stuck.

top tips

The start of the water is quite rocky, which can make the kayak quite bump (and also damage it). To be safe, go at a slow pace to begin with and keep an eye out for any abnormalities below you in the water.
