WHAT is View point phi phi?

The short but intense climb to the Viewpoint (186 meters above sea level) is a "must do" on Phi Phi. This is an excellent introduction to the island that will give you an overview of the mysteriousness Phi Phi holds. In the distance you can see Phi Phi Leh, a rugged and inhospitable rock, lost in dark waters. We are far from suspecting that this stone hides one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia, perhaps in the world: Maya Bay.

From the Reggae Bar, in the main nightlife hub of Phi Phi, head towards Loh Dalum Bay and you'll see signs for the viewpoint.

our review

View Point Phi Phi is the best view you will get of Koh Phi Phi Island. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the top (up LOTS of stairs) and on a summer's day this can be quite challenging. However there are large stop points on the way up and the view when you reach the top is more than worth it. Be sure to take some water with you so you do not get dehydrated.

Here you will see the most amazing views of Phi Phi and they have lots of signs and displays at the top that you can have your photo taken with (if you're doing it for the gram!)

There are various different points you can view from. The first level has a good view of the island. If you walk a little further up through some greenery you will find an even better view with even better photo ops. There is also a café where you stop off and buy a drink/ice cream/snacks or even a post card.

Overall well worth a visit in Phi Phi.

top tips

Wear comfortable shoes as there are lots of steep steps to hike and also make sure you have sufficient water as it can be a thirsty task in the Thai summer.
