This open-air bar decorated with traditional Thai paintings is a famous partying spot for energetic travellers. Open from midnight until the break of dawn, clusters of drinkers huddle in the al fresco area to drink and party hard. Live band performances grace the stage and fire shows contribute an extra level of energy, while the DJ plays until late.

Located just across the river, this is the kind of reggae bar you thought you left behind on Ko Phangan. Soporifically chilled out, featuring both live music and a club, it's open until the last punter goes home.

our review

During our trip to Pai we found ourselves somehow involved in a travellers bar crawl. We started at Yellow Sun and went on to about 3-4 bars after, finally ending up at Don't Cry (as it's the latest club open in Pai – it literally stays open until the last person goes home).

It was a great little reggae venue. The walls are covered with paintings of famous reggae artists, super heroes, album covers and lyrics of songs. The DJ plays a mix of old school classics and modern day music and the atmosphere is on point, full of travellers looking to mingle and have fun.

Drinks are also relatively cheap but as it is a late night venue they are a tiny bit more expensive than the other bars in Pai.
