what is pai walking street?

Pai Walking Street is a kind of open-air shopping district. This may ring a bell to you if you have ever been to Chiang Mai Walking Street or Chiang Rai Walking Street Before.

There are lots of goods on sale there. You can find food, beverages, clothes, souvenirs etc. In the past, the booths were much smaller. But nowadays, you can shop for many more goods from much bigger booths.

OUR REVIEW

We visited the Pai Walking Street every night of our trip to Pai. It was vibrant, there was a lot to see and do along the way and we managed to purchase all of our trinkets and souvenirs at really cheap prices (cheaper than Chiang Mai, Bangkok, the islands etc).

There are lots of food trucks selling a combination of different cuisines (some nicer than others). We enjoyed some delicious food whilst walking along and some of it was even better than what we had eaten in the restaurants.

As you walk from start to finish down the market you have stop off points in the form of bars and restaurants along the way. Most of these host live entertainment and have either a band or a singer.

If you're looking for night time entertainment in Pai, then the walking street is definitely a good place to start!
